Life Changing

One day while handing out fliers and reading material at a book table in the Bologna market, a single mother approached TEAM missionary Cindy Thompson and asked about doing a Bible study. They started meeting together soon after and began their study in the book of Mark.

Not long after, the woman asked if she could invite her cousin to the study. This cousin also had a son named Aldo* that wanted to learn English. So, while doing the Bible study with these two women, Cindy also began English lessons with Aldo. They started reading a Purpose Driven Life booklet together. Soon, Aldo started responding and asking questions about what he was reading.

Cindy and her husband Steve decided it would benefit Aldo to be with other kids his age and hear the Gospel in a different setting. They took him to a Push the Rock basketball camp in Imola, where he heard the Gospel presented every day by young men around his own age. After another few months of continued English lessons and constant questions, the young man gave his life to the Lord!!

Meanwhile, his family was watching the change in Aldo’s life, and begun having questions of their own. Not long after her son's conversion, the mother received Christ too!! They are trying to continue learning and growing, and now find it hard to accept the things they once thought of as normal.

God can use any method or means He chooses. Even with something as simple as English lessons, Aldo was learning the truth!
